Appreciation Night in Charleville Castle
Tullamore Tidy Towns recently hosted an Appreciation Night for volunteers and supporters at Charleville Castle. The local community group celebrated it's 60th year by achieving a 9th Gold medal award in a row at the annual national SuperValu Tidy Towns Awards and was also nominated for this years prestigious Pride of Place Awards. Chairman Shane Murray, thanked all the volunteers, supporters and sponsors with special thanks to Jean Ryan, Tullamore Municipal District Executive at Offaly County Council. The group enjoyed a wide selection of local cheeses and selected wines to the melodic tones of 10 person group, Midland Strings, with the atmospheric venue provided with the kind permission of Charleville Castle Heritage Trust.
